Functionality Sharing in Open Environments

Service-Orientation is widely regarded as THE computing paradigm for the next decade. In this talk we discuss why this paradigm is particularly suitableto achieve functionality sharing in open environments. We investigate what is needed on top of "standard" service-orientation to reach this goal. We will take a closer look at some of these requirements including automatic service discovery and composition to allow for dynamic adaption and incentive schemes to achieve fairness.
